Pip & Flicker
Accessibility
Last updated: 23 October 2026
We want everyone to enjoy Pip & Flicker: the game and this website. This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What this website does
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where you are.
- It works with screen readers such as VoiceOver. Every picture that matters has a description.
- If your device asks for less motion, nothing moves by itself: no video starts on its own and the effects stand still. Every video has a pause button, and the fireflies at the top can be paused too.
- Text has strong contrast, also on top of pictures.
- You can zoom to 200 %, or use a screen only 320 pixels wide, without scrolling sideways.
- It works with high-contrast colour settings, such as Windows Contrast themes.
- It uses no cookies, no tracking and nothing from other companies' servers.
In the game
The game has its own accessibility settings: VoiceOver, Audio Guide, High Visibility, Text size, Reduce Motion and Haptics. See what each one does.
Known limits
- The short gameplay clips have no sound. The text next to each clip says what it shows.
How we checked
On 23 October 2026 we checked every page with a keyboard only, with the browser's accessibility tree, with colour contrast measured against the real pictures, at 200 % zoom and 320 pixels wide, with reduced motion and with forced colours.
