Pip & Flicker
Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 October 2026
The short version (the full terms below are what count; this just helps you read them):
- The Dawn forest is free. Unlock the Full Forest is a one-time purchase made through Apple. Apple handles payment and refunds. Restore in Settings brings your purchase back for free.
- Your progress lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Start over erases it everywhere and cannot be undone, but it keeps your purchase.
- The game has lightning flashes in storms and a bright BLOOMBURST light. If flashing lights bother you, take care. Take breaks, and play somewhere safe.
- We work hard to make the game good. If something is wrong with it, you keep every right the law gives you.
- If you are a child, ask a grown-up to read this with you.

1. Who we are
Pip & Flicker ("the game") is made by Adrian Burcin, Romania, European Union ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@adrianburcin.com.
The game is distributed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the game. These Terms explain how the game works and what we promise. If these Terms and Apple's licence say different things, the one that gives you more rights applies. Apple is not responsible for the game or its content. We are.
2. Your licence to play
When you get the game, we give you a personal licence to play it on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's rules allow (including Family Sharing where Apple offers it). The game, its characters (including Pip and Flicker), art, music, sounds and code belong to Adrian Burcin, or to the people who licensed them to us.
You may not copy, sell, rent or change the game. You may not take it apart to make your own version, and you may not use cheats or tools that change how it plays. Nothing here stops you doing anything the law always allows. You are welcome to share BLOOMBURST pictures, videos and your love for the game. If you find a bug, please tell us.
3. Purchases, refunds and Restore
Free to play: the Dawn forest is free, with no time limit and no ads.
Unlock the Full Forest: a one-time purchase that opens the rest of the day's forest, as described on the App Store and in the game at the time you buy. The price is shown in the App Store in your currency. Apple takes the payment under the Apple Media Services Terms. We never see your payment details.
Refunds: Apple handles refunds. We are not able to issue them ourselves. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. If you live in the EU, Apple's terms also let you cancel within 14 days. None of this limits your legal rights if the game is faulty (see section 6). If something is wrong, please also write to us. We would rather fix it.
Restore: if you bought the full forest before, open Settings → Restore while signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account. The forest unlocks again and you never pay twice. Start over never removes your purchase.
Children and purchases: purchases go through the Apple Account on the device. Parents can use Ask to Buy and Screen Time to approve or block them.
We won't take back what you bought. We will not remove the main content of the full forest from someone who bought it.
4. Your progress, iCloud and Start over
Your progress (best distance, Seeds, friends, discoveries and medals) is saved on your iPhone. If you are signed in to iCloud, a copy is also kept in your own private iCloud storage, run by Apple, so it can follow you to your other devices. We do not run a server and cannot see, recover or restore anyone's saved progress.
Start over (Settings → More, tap twice to confirm) erases your progress on this iPhone and in your iCloud copy, so your other devices start over too. It keeps your purchase and your settings. It cannot be undone. Deleting the game while iCloud is off also deletes your progress for good.
If you lose progress because of a fault in the game, please tell us. Your legal rights in section 6 apply. We are not responsible for progress erased on purpose with Start over, or lost because the game was deleted without an iCloud copy.
5. Health and safety
Flashing lights. Pip & Flicker has lightning flashes during storms and a bright burst of light when a BLOOMBURST happens. A very small number of people can have seizures or blackouts when they see flashing lights or patterns, even if this has never happened to them before. If you, or anyone in your family, have ever had a seizure or epilepsy, talk to a doctor before playing. Stop playing straight away and see a doctor if you feel dizzy or sick, or have twitching eyes or muscles, blurred or changed vision, confusion, or any movement you cannot control. Grown-ups: please keep an eye on young children while they play.
Take breaks. Play in a well-lit room, hold the phone at a comfortable distance, and take a 10–15 minute break every hour. Stop if your eyes, hands or wrists get tired or sore.
Play somewhere safe. Do not play while walking, cycling, crossing a road, driving, or anywhere you need to watch what is around you. Keep the volume comfortable, especially with headphones.
This section is advice to keep you safe. It does not reduce our responsibility under section 6.
6. What we are and are not responsible for
6.1 If you live in the European Union (or in any other country whose laws give you similar protections), these rules come first and nothing in these Terms takes them away:
(a) The legal guarantee. The game must be as described and work as a game of its kind should. We will provide the updates needed to keep it working and secure for as long as you can reasonably expect. If it is not right, you are entitled to have it fixed, a price reduction, or your money back, as the law provides. The guarantee lasts at least two years.
(b) What we are always responsible for. We remain fully responsible for: death, personal injury or harm to health caused by us; harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence; fraud; claims under product liability laws; and anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
(c) What we are not responsible for. Apart from the above, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss not caused by us, or for losses of business, income or profit (the game is for private play). We are not responsible for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages of Apple's services (the App Store, iCloud, Game Center), or a device that is damaged, modified, or not supported by the game as described on the App Store.
6.2 If you live outside the European Union, then to the fullest extent your local law allows: the game is provided "as is" and "as available". We cannot promise it will be free of bugs or interruptions, and we give no warranty beyond those required by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of data or progress. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the game in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
6.3 For everyone: nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
7. Updates and the game's future
We may update the game to fix problems, improve it, keep it working on new versions of iOS, or add new things. Some updates may change how parts of the game look or play. We will not make changes that take away the main content you paid for. If we ever have to make a change that makes the game noticeably worse for people who bought it, we will tell you first in the game or on our Support page, and your legal rights apply.
The game runs on your iPhone and does not need our servers. If one day we stop making updates, or the game leaves the App Store, the copy on your device keeps working for as long as your device and iOS support it. Restore and iCloud depend on Apple's services. If the game leaves the App Store you may not be able to download it again, so keep it installed. We will try to announce such a change on our Support page in advance.
8. Parents and children
Pip & Flicker is made for everyone aged 4 and up, including children. It has no ads, no chat, no accounts and does not collect personal information (see our Privacy Policy). If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian needs to read and agree to these Terms for you. Parents and guardians can manage purchases, Game Center and play time with Apple's Family Sharing, Ask to Buy and Screen Time.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the game changes or the law changes. The new version will be shown on this page, with a new date at the top. If a change is important, we will point it out in the game before it applies. A change will never take away something you have already paid for or reduce your legal rights. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop playing at any time.
10. If something goes wrong: law and disputes
Talk to us first. Write to support@adrianburcin.com. We read every message and aim to reply within 14 days.
Law. These Terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and nothing here takes that away.
Courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you can bring a claim in the courts of Romania or of the country where you live.
Help outside court. If we cannot sort out a complaint together, consumers can contact Romania's consumer authority, ANPC, and its Alternative Dispute Resolution service (SAL), at https://anpc.ro. Consumers in other EU countries can also get free help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
Other bits. If a court decides part of these Terms is not valid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
